For over 30 years, Radyr Musical Society, formerly Radyr Parish Music Group, has been staging musicals, operettas, and concerts.
We believe in doing our best to put on a good show for the audience, while having fun along the way, and getting the local community involved.
We are as much a community of friends as of musicians, and manage to combine our work around performances with a regular round of social events.
We put on a musical production in February each year, and a Cabaret evening in early summer. We also have a number of social events for members throughout the year.
Whether you fancy yourself in a lead role, just want to enjoy singing as part of a chorus, help out backstage or lend a hand with the essential business and administration side of performing, we'll give you a warm welcome into our group.
As with many other amateur music and drama groups, and even professional companies, the financial challenge of promoting and staging shows and concerts is becoming increasingly expensive. Many such organisations have patrons and sponsors who give financial assistance in return for certain benefits and the satisfaction of knowing that they are doing their bit to support the arts in their community. We aim to do this through our 'Stage door VIP' scheme, which for just £25 and to see what you get in return just take a look at this:

A Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, it's a story about the triumph of the common man amid the buffoonery of big business.
When a restless, creative, and ambitious window washer named J. Pierrepont Finch happens upon a book entitled 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying', he decides to begin his rise up the corporate ladder. With the book’s instructions and a dose of his own cleverness, Finch starts by landing a job in the mailroom at the World Wide Wicket Company, before quickly gaining promotions and outsmarting his scheming, snivelling rival, Frump - who also happens to be the boss's nephew- until finally reaching the very top of the organisation.
